TABEX Cytisine
The active substance of Tabex® – is 'Cytisine'. An alkaloid isolated from the plant Cytisus Laburnum – the acacia "golden rain tree" which is used to help with a safe, healthy and gradual reduction of smoking cessation with minimum withdrawal symptom and great efficacy.
There is 1.5mg of Cytisine in one tablet which is administered orally by patients as a stop smoking treatment with many people giving up after the one month day quit date. There are 100 tablets in a standard treatment course of a one month dose.
It is administered by smokers orally in a dose of one tablet every two hours (6 tablets daily) for three days at corresponding reduction of the number of smoked cigarettes.
Treatment proceeds according to the standard course:
- from the 4th to 12th day – 1 tablet every 2.5 hours (5 tablets daily)
- from the 13th to 16th day – 1 tablet every 3 hours (4 tablets daily)
- from the 21st to 25th day – 1-2 tablets daily

A Brief History
